The Ear Ache Shower Crayon
Crayon on shower wall–temporary piece
The pressure had been building all week last week, but I had kept it at bay.
As I shuffled to the dinner table, the ache in my ear taking over my senses, my mom wondered why I wasn’t taking a much-needed break. And my parents, urging me to rest to take care of my sick self, inspired me to put down my paintbrushes in favor of crayons.
Like a child, I drew on the shower wall. And, for a time, I forgot just how much my ears hurt.
250 days done, 115 to go.
